Dancing around the Homecoming Bonfire, Matt Depoister, Anthony
Gerhold, and Mike Perry show their Tiger Pride.
Looking back upon the
three years I have spent in the
Columbia High School Fighting Ti-
ger Band, I have come to realize that I will miss many of the good times I have
shared with fellow band members. The band is composed of a unique group of
people who have come together to experience the beautiful art we call music. I
have enjoyed the many hours of practicing and perfecting this art as I am sure
many of the other members have.
The band has participated in many activities this past year such as the Home-
coming Parade, Christmas Parade, Pep rallies, a spring concert and the Six
Flags Music Festival the Tiger Band has participated in, the first being in 1988.
February was a very busy month this year for members of the band. Members
Anthony Gerhold, Tracy Thompson, and Michael Thompson participated in the
Troy State Honor Band at Troy State University in Troy, Alabama.
Overall, I have enjoyed my experience in the band and I think I speak for all of
the other seniors and underclassmen. I would like to see the band in the future go
to more competitions and would like to see more competitions for individuals in
band. With this experience and hard work the Tiger Band can become # 1 in
Florida and the United States!
