FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA I HERO
F .H.A. I HERO is a national vocational organization for
students who are enrolled in or have taken a course in
Home Economics in middle, junior or senior High School. It
is composed of two chapters: F.H.A. (Future Homemakers
of America) for students enrolled in consumer and home-
making programs and HERO (Home Economics Related
Occupations) for students enrolled in occupational, wage
earning programs. F .H.S. I HERO is dedicated to helping
youth to prepare for their active place in society by learn-
ing the necessary skills needed to better themselves and
others in their home, school, community, environment, and
on the job.
The members at Columbia High School were excited
about the 1989-1990 school year. This year they were
involved in various fund-raising activities to assist them in
carrying out their school and community projects; social
and educational activities; and for competition at local,
district, state, and national levels. Columbia High School's
F .H. A. I HERO chapter is proud to announce that they have
a state officer in their ranks. Attania Jean is Florida's
F.H.A.IHERO State Treasurer. F.H.A.I HERO members,
we wish you the best!
