As Miss C.H.S., I have always tried to fulfill my obligations to the best of my ability. I believe that through my reign I have instilled in
the students of this school the feeling of giving of themselves for the betterment of our community. It is so rewarding to be able to vie
for the title with such a talented group of young ladies. This experience has been both a learning and rewarding opportunity. Serving
the students and faculty of the Columbia County School System has meant more to me than I can express.
Helping with the opening of the school, Sophomore orientation, Homecoming, speaking with the students and riding in parades
are just a few of the many memories of this wonderful year serving as Miss C.H.S. Sharing my year with others, whether being asked
by a child if she could touch my crown or by being asked by an older lady if she could just hold my hand, are examples of
opportunities which are precious and lasting.
My sincere thanks and appreciation to my family. Mr, Herring, Dr. Gause, Mrs. Foster, Mrs. Audrey Clements, Mrs. Kay Green, Mr.
Wade Thompson, Mrs. Dede Koon, Mrs. Ursula Stuart, and the staff and faculty of Columia High School.
