"Smashing" is the only word to describe the girl's tennis team this year! The Tigers had a
great season, suffering only one loss to Conference winners, Fletcher. The girls finished the
season 13-1. Coach Carolyn Delaney was very proud of the team and plans to make it to
state next year. Rounding out the top five are Kim Lynch, Deidra DeRosia, Lisa McLean,
Linda Tillman, and Jennifer Mrvica. The doubles team were Lynch I DeRosia, number one and
McLean /Tillman, number two. The rest of the team consists of Elizabeth Van Arsdall, Eva
Lynn Willis, Susan Tuttle, Julie McNeill, and Christina Cannon. On April 18th and 19th, the
team traveled to the Baymeadows Racquet Club in Jacksonville to compete against other

teams in the district. The girls competed against teams from Terry Parker, Fletcher, Ed
White, Orange Park, Forrest, Wolfson, Middleburg, and Sandalwood. Deidra DeRosia and
Feb. 13 Live Oak won Linda Tillman lost early in the second round and Lisa McLean lost in the semi-finals. Number
27 Ed'Nhite won one, Kim Lynch made it to the finals but met an unfortunate loss to number one seed, Leigh
28 Live Oak won Ann Tabor. Number five, Jennifer Mrvica, also made it to the finals, but fell to Middleburg's
Mar.Ol Ribault won Karen Carmen. All in all the team placed fourth, behind winners Orange Park, Fletcher, and
