Education is one of the most important parts of life
in Columbia County. Parents, teachers, students and
community members look to the schools as leaders and
trendsetters. Mr. Robert Corley is assisting Mrs. Lane
as Deputy Superintendent and Mr. Joe Kirkland is the
assistant Superintendent in charge of business
operations. Dr. Barbara Foreman is Director of
Curriculum pre-K through 12.
Illiteracy and ignorance are the prime targets of the
school system. The "County Office" has the great task of
leading the schools into the 90's.
