Varsity Soccer . . Playing With Perfection
The Varsity Tiger soccer team had
great expectations entering •the '93-94
season. The Tigers had a new head coach,
Robert Hochmuth. Hochmuth coached the
J.V. to three consecutive winning seasons
during his tenure, and his success is
expected to continue with the Varsity. The
Tigers returned nine of eleven starters, and
their expectations were reasonably high.
The team had great depth. The Tigers also
had a very fast and furious style of play,
utilizing their tremendous speed up front
and overall team speed. They also knew
the importance of working the ball to open
spaces. The Tigers also had a very capable
defense. With their rough style of play,
goals were hard to come by for the
opposition, although this style yielded a
few penalties. With the combination of
confidence, talent, and solid senior
leadership produced an excellent season for
the Tigers.
