FRESHMAN LIFE
Being a Freshman is a hard thing. The Freshmen are the
newcomers to CHS. They experience the culture shock of
Homecoming competition, but always manage to lose the
identity of the "underdogs" and prove themselves as
tough competitors. They came in second place after the
Seniors.
The Freshmen are forced to overcome their separation
from the rest of the student body. Having a separate
campus means that they are last to hear news concerning
the whole school. The class officers must work extra hard
to inform their classmates of school news.
Another downfall of separate campuses is the J. V. Pep
Rallies. The Freshmen are the only class supporting the J. V.
Football team and its tougher to produce enough spirit to
pep up the team. They are not allowed to stand in the lawrence Mrvica. Apryll West and Candace Kelly
rallies and there is no competition for the amount of spirit. practice smiling while waiting to have the1r pictures
done on picture day.
Having a campus to themselves is not all that bad. The
plus side of having a campus with only one grade is having
the chance to get to know each other and unite as a
single class.
Friendship Is a key role In the
Freshman Lifestyle. Jasen Vega
and Carmes Sullivan share a hug
on their way to class.
In each of us
there is
a little of
all of us.
Garry Ward tries to set an example but seems to be the sole supporter at the first Freshman Pep Rally. stand up
