The Varsity girls' Sa ketball team, like the
boy , was young and inexperienced. But,
they weren't going to let that stop them.
Although the early season was rough for
them, they were building towards a run at
the district title. During the season, they
had Impressive wins over district foes
Orange Park and Middleburg, while losing
twice to St. Augustine. The team had a very
goodgroupofguards, with Shafaye Baker,
Jenny Munroe, and Erin Giebeig; along
with their excellent forwards Amle Henry
and Marlena Brown. This group gave the
opposition no weaknesses to attack.The
Tigers had talented young players along
with good senior leadership, a combination
that proved to be an effective one for the
team. They were a team that gave it all
every game and earned a lot of respect for
the program.
