The weightlifting team i a fa t-
paced, high energetic quad that ha
high expectation placed on them.
Columbia High School is the reigning
6-A champions. Individual state
champion included Brian Allen and
Mike Daie of the Cla s of 96. CHS
will host the state championship
April 26. It is one of the mo t antici-
pated meets of the year. CHS is led by
veterans Tim Pate and Terrence Har-
rell in the 1 3 lb. clas . Quinton Cal-
lum heads up the 169lb. cla and Bo
Spradley lends hi helping hand in
the 119 lb. clas . Other member to
watch are Jason McCardle, Jarvis
Byrd, Jason Holling worth, Gary
Weston, Robert Mann, and Jason
Robert on. The team has tarted off
with a bang winning its first two
matche . They opened the ea on
with a 55-35 win over Buchholz and
followed' it up with a 56-34 win over
Baker County. Coach Johns and
Coach Regi ter certainly have their
hands full with these guys and hope-
fully have another 6-A tate champi-
onship team on their hands. Good
