Price of Beauty
Per month, to go to a tanning salon it
would cost around $45, that's $540 a year.
That is included in the S 12,000 a regular
woman spends on personal hygiene and
self-improvement annually. Whoa! That
would be enough to buy a decent car
or twenty-seven laptops. To spend that
much money on yourself is kind of ridicu-
lous. Don't get me wrong I'm all for look-
ing good. But instead of trying to cover
up with so many beauty products why
not buy a few that would enhance your
natural beauty instead of replacing it? Or
maybe throwing out products that are un-
necessary and ceasing to purchase them
again. Not only would it save money but
people will notice who the real person is
behind all that gunk.

Tanning, pills, surgery, make up, gym memberships, expensive
organic foods, protein shakes and bars. Most of it is impor-
tant for a healthy lifestyle, but all of it adds to the formula for
conforming to society's view of how everyone should look.
Many of us feel the pressure to mold into this form, wanting
to turn heads, catch that special someone's eye, or just simply
fit in. Whatever the reason, we are all guilty of giving in to the
pressure. Hundreds of girls at this school stare at scales ev-
ery morning, hundreds of guys do crunches every night. The
result? Well it seems like it is never enough. We do not know
how to love ourselves and be content with our bodies. Every-
body has some type of beauty in them, whether inside or out.
So forget society! You are beautiful, no matter what.
