The N.A.S. IS an academic group for minority students of all ages that display academiC excellence and good citizenship skills. We are housed out of
the North Florida (enter of Excellence, through the Columbia County School Board. We stress academics to the highest level and do all that we can to
get our members in some type of post-secondary education. We provide SAT and AU workshops, as well as financial planning advice. We recognize
the increasmg tuition amounts, and give the students chances to earn scholarships by participatmg in essay and oratorical contests, and bram bowl
competitions throughout the state against other chapters. In essence, we are a pre-collegiate group with a minority focus. In order to be a part of the
chapter, students must be inVIted, of minority ongin, have a 3.2 cumulative GPA, and no disciplinary referrals for the year, complete an application
and the "Laws of Life" essay, and then finally be inducted.

FFA 1s a national organization that promotes agriculture and its industries. FFA consists of many Career Development Events, Supervised Agricultural
Expenences and many other opportunities. Our organization is one of the largest youth run organizations in the world. With over 500,000 members
in the nation, they make a large impact on the world and its future. FFA 1s an organization that benefits not only its members but its surrounding
communities as well.
