Several teachers hinted, that if an editorial was to be
written it should deal with respect toward teachers. What
is the true meaning of this word "respect?"
The dictionary defines the word as an act of noticing
with attention, regard, consideration. Both teachers and
students seem to question if the other practices this word
correctly.
To a student, the teacher's job may seem very simple.
Just standing up and talking all day. Students don't real-
ize that teachers have a very hard day and are just as
happy to leave when the bell rings as the students are.
With all the violence in the world no wonder everyone is
a little on edge. If everyone would start to calm down
maybe there could be a little peace in the world. Let's
start with better understanding between teachers and stu-
dents right here in Lake City Junior High.
