DEDICATION SPEECH OF NEW FORT WHITE
HIGH SCHOOL

Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Thank you for being here today.

Special thanks to those of you who have traveled some
distance to be here.

We are here today to dedicate this beautiful, new state-of-
the-art high school building.

We are also here to celebrate the return of Fort White High
School to this community.

For so many of you, I know this is a dream come true.

You will hear more about this building from others on the

program.

But first, let’s take a minute and look back to the Fort White

High School that used to be.

The one that started in 1915 and ended in 1969.

The one where some of you spent some of the happiest
days of your lives.

Where you made lifelong friendships. Learned to read and
write.

In some cases met your future husband or wife.

Or graduated, sent your children there, then sent your

grandchildren.
