Cone had more than 60 honorary pall bearers, including a former
governor, the governor-elect, and two Supreme Court justices. Ac-

Every store and office in Lake City closed for two hours during the
funeral service in honor of Gov. Cone, who was buried in the old
family plot at Prospect Cemetery on the Woodpecker Route just north
of White Springs, where members of the Cone Family have rested for
over 100 years.
