Any ordinance providing for a levy of taxes;
Any ordinances providing for the issuance of 4/257
bonds;
Any ordinance or resolution adopting surveys
or maps or providing for location of streets;
Any ordinance providing for closing of certain
streets;

Any ordinance granting a franchise or rights
and privileges to any person, firm or corporation.

Provided, That all matter published in the
appendix of the compilation, provided for herein,
is printed for information only, and that such
publication shall not be deemed to constitute a re­
enactment of any ordinance, resolution, or contract,
or ratification of any rights, grants or privileges
heretofore given by the City of Lake City, Florida.

Sec. 2. Said revised ordinances shall go into
effect and be operative on the Mayor giving ten
days notice thereof by proclamation.

Sec. 3. The repeal of any ordinance by said
revision shall not affect any right accrued before
such repeal; Provided, that the provisions of Sec­
tion One, providing for the repeal of certain ordi­
nances, shall not become effective until the re­
vised ordinances shall become operative by the
Mayor’s proclamation.

Sec. 4. There shall be published a compila­
tion, which shall contain the charter, as amended,
of the City of Lake City, Florida, the revised
ordinances of a general and permanent nature,
provided for in Section One, and in an appendix
shall be placed such special ordinances, resolutions
and contracts as may be deemed by the compilers
