Weighty Problem

Obesity is a disease

Induced by too many calories
And/Or too little exercise.

This diagnosis signifies
There are two ways you can combat

Excessive weight. If you are fat
You can work it off, or you can fight it

By putting a curb on your appetite — It

Won’t make much difference which you choose,
It’s a foregone conclusion, You win if you lose.

Robot

Leave me? My dear you left me long ago,

And should not be surprised to find I know.
I heard the latches click and saw you go.

Ah, yes, you left a robot in your place
That used your voice and gestures, wore your face,

And even knew the form of your embrace.

But of your warmth and nearness there was none,
And doors were closed where I had freely gone

And in a thousand ways your absence shown.

All on the way I missed your presence so

All I will ask is that you now make no
Pretense of having been here. Please, just go.
