In 1970, the Intramural Council was
formed and is now under the direc-
tion of Richard Anders. The Council
meets once a month but the members
are busy throughout the year in an
effort to foster a good intramural
program. The publicity of activities
and the organization of sports com-
petition are duties of the Intramural
Council. Intramurals allows indi-
viduals with athletic ability, the op-
portunity to compete vigorously and
not have the pressures of joining a
team. Intramural members Cynthia
Anderson, Vice President; Teri Aus-
tin, Kathy Carter, President; Shirley
Jackson, Assistant Secretary; Don-
ald Jernigan, Marty Martinez,
Bardrick McGuire, Benjie Read,
Debra Sellars, Treasurer; Shawn
Tlwmas, Secretary; Lisa Wintons
and sponsor Richard Anders stress
that exercise is fun!
