Mrs. Cribbs shows how a clean kitchen should look. Mrs. Benedict demonstrates machine usage to a Home Ec. Student.
Sewing skirts, hemming hems,
scrubbing sinks, cooking blueberry
muffins and making placemats are
just part of the daily routine in the
Home Economics Department at
C.H.S.
Mrs. Benedictand Mrs. Ring are in
charge of the Sewing Department.
They teach the students the basics
in sewing, also good health habits
and the latest in fashions.
Mrs. Cribbs a.nd Mrs. Clark are in
charge of the Cooking Department.
They teach the students the
fundamentals in cooking and house
cleaning. The students learn the
safe way in which to cook and the
good things that should be eaten to
maintain a healthy body.
The classes not only give the
students a time to appreciate good
meals and good clothes, they also
help to make better homemakers for
the future.
Mrs. Ring, Department Head, shows Home Ec. students how to size a dress model.
