At The Stake

Friday morning, September 17,
the Tiger squad woke up to a news-
paper article stating that they were
ran ked fourth in the state. After their
performance in the first half of the
game that night against Terry
Parker, their supporters and even
themselves began to wonder.
The Tigers went into the locker
room at the half behind 6-0, but
when they emerged the Tiger spirit
came with them this time.
The excitement mounted as
Roger Morris recovered a fumble at
the Parker 47. Tommy Young drove
in for a Tiger TD. On a " busted" con-
version attempt Dean Williams
passed to Gary Williams for two
points. Alan Blair ran in a
touchdown and another two point
conversion put the Tigers on top
with a 16-13 victory.

4. Joe Adams no. 43, Kelly Lowrey no. 33, and
Gary Williams no. 24 patiently await the end of
the game. 5. J<enny Owens seems to be in a
little trouble while Warner Harris no. 20 works
in vain. 6. Several Tigers express their joy as

punts against a tough Parker defense.
