This past summer, the opportunity
to attend Girls or Boys State in Tal-
lahassee, was given to Margaret
Payne, Phil Bishop, and Bruce lves.
In Tallahassee elections were held
for government positions. Well-
known political people in the state
spoke to the representatives of Girls
or Boys State, including Governor
Ruben Askew. A mock legislature
was a/so held to help the students
better understand the legislative
process.
