The 1989-90 Junior Varsity bas-
ketball season turned out to be a
very pleasant surprise for every-
one. Coach Tony Eady took a team
full of youth and inexperience and
turned it into a terrific Tiger team.
The baby Tigers excited the
crowds with their hustle and in-
tense play resulting in many thrill-
ing games. Vince Jones led the
team in three-pointers this year
with many clutch baskets in key
battles. Casey Gordon and Max-
well Kelly were mainstays in re-
bounding . Troy Pertee dazzled
crowds with his ball-handling and
crisp passing. The Junior Varsity
team credits their success to
Coach Tony Eady. Although Coach
Eady was in his first year at Colum-
bia High School, he taught these
young men to work hard to achieve
the requirements needed for a win-
ning season. Coach Eady felt that
he prepared his team to be an as-
set to the Varsity Team next year.
Way to go JV!!I!!!!

Tim said, "Coach Eady inspired our team to
play good basketball. We couldn't have won
without him." Coach Tony Eady is not just a strict coach. He is also a
faithful friend to the players.
