SUPERIOR Ratings and Leadership!!
Captains Donna Outlaw, Kim Dekle, and Elisha Hillis really have some-
thing to smile about. They have been together on the dance team since
ninth grade.
Both of Columbia County's Dance / Drill Teams the Columbia High Ti-
gerettes and the Lake City Junior High Falconettes, were started five
years ago by Rita Strattan, who saw a need for girls to have an activity, in
addition to cheerleading, wh1ch would show school spirit and provide
entertainment for football and basketball games. Eight girls composed
the first squad which has now expanded to 34 girls on the CHS Tigerette
Dance Team. The team's popularity has grown over the years. They have
accumulated many awards in the past five years. They are currently
ranked fifth in the state out of the top twenty-eight schools. Hats off to the
spectacular CHS dancers for all the hard work they have put into repre-
senting Columbia High School.
