Visiting a college is a good way to get to know the school. This group of people including several CHS Seniors

Mclean, using a common excuse of Dual-Enrollment
        students.
Trying to find money for college is always a challenge. Many CHS Seniors
like Julie McNeill and Tammy Hunter seek help from Mr. Merrick in the career
        center.
Many Seniors and some Juniors have started to think about
their future, and which path they are going to take. Some
have chosen either work, marriage or college.
Some CHS Seniors have already started their college ca-
reers. They have been part of the Dual-Enrollment Plan that
works through the cooperation of LCCC and Columbia County
School System. The plan allows any Junior student who has
passed all classes, and has a GPA of 3.0 and up, to attend
college classes at the expense of the county school system.
The classes included in the arrangement are considered
honor classes and also meet the Academic Scholars Re-
       quirements.
"I don't believe I could have gone straight to a university
after graduation. Dual-Enrollment has given me a chance to
experience college life at its best and worst," says Angel
Lumbert, a CHS / LCCC student.
