The Vica Club stands for "Vocational Industrial Clubs of Ameri-
ca". The philosophy and goals are; to promote leadership and skills
in the world of work.
Students learn leadership by actively participating in line skills
such as parliamentary procedure, public speaking, participating in
olympic skills contests where they match their skills in various
occupations such as air conditioning, auto mechanics, carpentry
and marine engine repair, against students from other high schools.
A student in VICA can now work in the field of his or her choice
while still attending school on a half day basis. These students can
receive credit while they are working in their related field of their
choice.
