There are many different clubs at Columbia
High School. One of them is the Afro-Ameri-
can History club. This club is devoted to help-
ing others in the community and providing
students with an understanding of the Black
History of America.
The club planned many projects for the 90-
91 year. The club visited Florida A and M's
Hurambe Festival and Bethune-Cookman Col-
lege. They also hosted a Christmas party for
the children at Richardson Day Care. During
February the club is involved in Black History
Month. There were displays put up of famous
Afro-American leaders.
The club officers are Debby Presley, Presi-
dent; Kaeutonia Rentz, Vice-President; Jamina
Scippio, Secretary; Micava Williams, Treasur-
er, Marcus Williams, Sergeant-at-arms; Chon-
dra Moore, Historian; Mr. Merrick, Sponsor.
