ALPHA
When we think of the word "invest-
ment," we often think of money.
However, some special members of
the faculty and staff decided they
would make another type of invest-
ment - an investment in some spe-
cial students who now form the Co-
lumbia High School ALPHA Club. II
The ALPHA Club was organized to
create an appreciation-for-school ex- ~
perience. The club is designed as an
inspirational tool and encourages its ~
members to be an active part of the
student body. IE
This year, ALPHA has made a tre-
mendous effort to promote pride in s
the school and the community. Dur-
ing homecoming week, the students
Sitting (L-R): Paul Haug, Kristine Lane, Casey Crews, Eryn Hybart, Dwaine Lening. Second Row: Cindy 1r
Duncan, Amy Waters, Heather Register, Nickie Brett, Carol Case, Tricia Rodgers, Jeff Rodgers, Beth participated in many homecoming
Hartopp, Mr. Howell, Mr. Merrick. Third row: Mike Evans, Randy Harrison, Tony Martin, Fred Peloni, Mrs. events. Besides working on class
Foster, Gina Witt, Paul Terrell, Eric Peisel, Chris Rowe. floats, they took time to construct a !'"\
club float for the parade. ALPHA was
also instrumental in the success of the IE
annual HRS Children's Christmas
party. ~
The 1990-1991 ALPHA Club has
made an investment in the future. By l[
presenting a positive image to the en-
tire school and community, these spe-
cial students have left their mark on
CHS and Columbia County. II
