Health Occupations Student Assoc1at1on 1s part of the Health
Sc1ence Educat1on program and IS co-curncular. The members of HOSA
are Interested in a health related career. They partiopate in many
actiVIties such as the HRS Christmas party, March of Dimes walk, Relay
of Life, VISion and heanng screening for elementary schools, smgmg at
extended care fac1ht1es and making food baskets for the elderly.
HOSA participates in Regional Fall Conference, Leadership
Development Conference, Regional Spring Conference and State and
National Conferences. Students are able to participate in many different
competitive events. Those plac1ng 1st, 2nd, or 3rd 1n their event are
ent1tled to go on to State and National conferences. State and National
HOSA conferences will be held 1n Orlando, Florida th1s year.
