Motocross is a immense part of Lake City's things to do. But you can't forget
riding four wheelers, and mudding with big trucks. Students like to meet up on
Saturdays and decide where they are gonna go for the day to play in the mud on
four wheelers and in their trucks with one another. One student, Austin Kazmierski
said, "My friends and sometimes my dad like to go out to the forest, or 12 Gage taking a break from riding.
Mud Bog and go mudding, and have fun for the day." Students at CHS take thrill to
a whole new level with the ways they spend their time outside of school.
"Okay so when you round the turn you're gonna want to pin the throttle,
get a good stance on the pedals, once you hit the top of the ramp pull up as hard
as you can. C'mon you can do it." I listened closely to the words Clint, from FMX
East told me. I could feel my heart racing as I took off on the small dirt path on
the little Yamaha 50. Leaning as I rounded the corner I could see the enormous
metal ramp, bracing myself and pinning the throttle, I hit it, pulled back as hard
as I could, and squish, landed safely in the foam pit. My first ever back flip on a Taylor Owens' little brother
dirtbike! The greatest feeling of accomplishment and the best adrenaline rush I'd admiring the dirty truck.
ever had."
