Some Stuff I Wrote and Some Stuff I Didn't (2011) H. Morris Williams

Bob was a true ambassador for the Library as a volunteer and later as an
              employee.

              Del Miles

In the early years of federal money for rural libraries, Del Miles knew
what a public library could mean for the community. She persuaded

County Commissioners of the benefits of libraries. As a result, Columbia
County joined the Suwannee River Regional Library system and had its

first public library. Del still is supportive and in 1990 raised funds from
              several organizations for construction.

              Gerald Witt

Gerald Witt has been an advocate for the Columbia County Library

since its inception. On becoming Mayor of Lake City, he became a key
player in negotiations between City and County. Adequate funding was

his goal, and he saw that his goal was achieved. Excellence in service to
              the public was the result.
