Now after a year in office, Jimmy
Carter will begin to change course.
There's a new game plan in the
White House. Start to slow the pace,
build public confidence in the econ-
omy, and demonstrate that the U.S.
holds first in world affairs.

Carter, just a country boy at heart,
will try to avoid making waves in his
second year of office. He wants the
business men and the consumers to
relax and feel safe to plan ahead
without worrying about an ava-
lanche of policy changes and up-
setting proposals.
