George teeters on the brink of hysteria, Kristin Solli appears to be oblivious to the
tension. Nobody would abscond with Kristin's copy anyway; we can't reat Norweigan.
2. Ms. Carter's attention is, as usual divided into three different directions. She checks
the color chart, types copy, and carries on a conversation, all at the same time. Of
course, she might not remember what she said the next day ...
1. Nikki Brown escapes the chaos in the front room to work
in the quieter ruins of what once was the back office.
Neither place offers good working conditions.
2. "What did you say your name was? And you want pack·
age number what? Lori Jewett sets a sophomore
straight.
3. Susan Tuttle discovers that the best(?) place to work is
often the floor. Of course, even there the mighty hand of
Ms. Carter is never far away.
