Mu Alpha Theta is a mathematics honor society which recognizes work down with distinction in college
preparatory mathematics and in other academic subjects. Its main purpose is to stimulate interest in
mathematics through competitions such as the Florida Mathematics League and the American High School
Mathematics Examination. Membership is open to any student with a 3.0 grade point average and a "B"
average in two years of college preparatory mathematics.
