The CHS Academic Team is more than
just a bunch of buzzer-happy brain chil-
dren. Ranging from future brain surgeons
and lawyers to aspiring poets and environ-
mentalists, these ambitious brain brawlers
work hard practicing and competing in the
High-Q district matches and special state-
wide tournaments. This year's varsity team
had a record of 3-4 and JV' s record was 4-3.
Toss-up question: Does Columbia High
have an outstanding Academic Team? Yes!
Bonus: Are we still Number 1? YES!

Five members of the Academic Team attended the Second Annual Florida
Federal High School Academic Tourney at the University of Florida on
November 9 and 10. They were Allison Taylor, Anika Salzburg, Bobby
Heckathorne, Amy Taylor and Tony Purvis.
