Hove you ever driven by a softball field
In early January on your way to dinner and. In
warm comfort. wondered why on earth anyone
would brave the blistery cold to catch a boll?
Hove you ever been amazed as to why. In the
humid heat of summer you can't spot a ballfield
onywhere.not filled with sweaty players Involved
In yet another scrimmage. Well. Its the kind of
answer you will never find unless you ploy the
game. It's the kind of satisfaction that comes
with knowing that no matter how awful your day
has been. all problems will be forgotten once
your cleats hit the cloy. No matter how awful your
life has become. you con still knock one
Incredibly beautiful line drive to the fence. The
kind of Ufetime friendships that will only develop
between a bunch of kids who started out with
nothing but gloves In common but eventually
found that they shored so much more. Most
Importantly, It Is the love of a sport - a simple
game- that con some how toke hold of you and
keep reminding you that no matter what else you
do In Ute and how much you wUI change- you will
always be a ball player.
Radiating smiles otter winning their first game of the season. the Junior Lady
Tigers pause with their coach for a kodak moment - - but one of them looks
slightly mature for his age.
