Everyone wants to be noticed, but some students must stand out for the
sake of their educational or religious future. Summer Camps help students try
new activities or work on areas or skills they want to improve.
Church Camp
Every summer, some teenagers go to church camp to grow closer
to God and seek a deeper relationship with him. Being surrounded by
God-loving people in a high energy environment purely consisting of Christ.
For many summers, I have gone to Camp Montgomery in Starke, Florida to find
just that. A get away from everything - where it is just me and God.

Band Camp
In the first week of band camp, the rookies are taught the basics of
marching technique and Mr. Schulz determines whether or not the officers are
capable of fulfilling their duties. The first week's purpose is to root out those
rookies who are not capable of handling marching band. In the second week,
the band begins setting and preparing our halftime show. We use this week to
get a head start in our preparations for the Florida Bandmaster's Association's
marching assessment. Band camp is used to determine if the rookies are ca-
pable of handling band camp and to give us as much time to prepare our show
in the hopes of achieving a "superior" rating at the FBA marching assessment.

Sports Camp
Dance camp is a great experience both individually and as a team. While you
are there you learn not only techniques to help you improve with dance, but
also to get to know your teammates. There are levels one through five, and the
level you get placed in depends on how well you are at both technique and
routine. There are usually about ten other teams at camp and you get to know
all of these girls when they are in the same level as you. Dance camp is just a Top: Rachel Butler and Haley Hyde in
