ay a Many people work for different
reasons, some work to pay bills, for
gas money, or just to have something
to do. The reason that I work was to provide for a newborn
baby. I would get up some days not wanting to go to work or
feeling real sick, but I knew what needed to be done. So I got
the job done because I knew what was at stake, a newborn
baby without a care in the world. Working at Winn- Dixie I
would see many different faces on a daily basis. The manag-
ers would try and take it easy on me, but that's not me, I wanted
them to treat me equal. So they finally got the hint and started
treating me the way I wanted. Working helped me become
more independent and a better mother.
