Peanut Butter Crisscrosses Lori Leonardson
1 Cup Shortening 1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup Sugar 3 Cups Flour Sifted
1 Cup Brown Sugar 2 tsp. Soda
2 Eggs 16 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients;
stir into creamed mixture.
Drop by rounded teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with back of fork to make
crisscross.
Bake 10 minutes at 350.
Brian’s Cream Cheese Cookies Brian Leonardson
8 oz Cream Cheese 14 tsp. Vanilla
1 Cup Softened Butter 2 Vi Cups Flour
2/3 Cup Sugar Colored sugar for decoration
Beat cream cheese and butter until well blended. Add sugar and vanilla while still
mixing. Gradually add flour while mixing. Beat well until smooth. Chill for several
hours.
Roll dough to 14 inch thickness, cut to shapes, sprinkle with colored sugar. Place 2 inches
apart on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes, until edges are lightly browned. Cool on pan 2 minutes.
Place on racks to finish cooling. Makes 48 cookies.
