Charter of the City of Lake City

Sec. 5. The City Treasurer shall be paid a
commission of two and one-half per cent, upon all 55/257
moneys paid out for the city, which commission
shall be payable quarterly. In addition to
this he shall receive such other fees as are
provided by ordinance. He shall give bond in
the sum of $2,000.00.
Sec. 6. The City Marshal shall receive a
salary of $50.00 per month, payable monthly. He
shall give bond in the sum of $1,000.00.
Sec. 7. All bonds given by the city officers
shall be made payable to the City of Lake City,
Florida, with at least two sureties, who shall
justify in the aggregate to the amount of the bond,
exclusive of all exemptions, and shall be condition
ed for the faithful performance of duty, and the
proper disbursement of and accounting for all
moneys comings into such official’s hands in his
official capacity.
Sec. 8. All salaries and commissions shall be
paid only after bill rendered to and approved by
the City Council, and by warrant drawn on the
City Treasurer.
Sec. 9. The City Attorney in and for the
City of Lake City, Florida, shall give a bond in
the sum of $2,000.00 for the faithful performance
of the duties of his office, as required by the
Charter and ordinances of said City of Lake City,
Florida.
Sec. 10. The bond of the City Attorney shall
be approved as other bonds of officers of said City.
Sec. 11. That the salary of the City Auditor
of the City of Lake City shall be Twelve Dollars
and fifty cents per month payable quarterly.
