                    Sec. 12. That the said salary of the City Audi­
               tor shall be paid with voucher issued by the City                   56/257
               Clerk approved by the President of the City
               Council and shall begin on the first day of Octo­
               ber, 1905.
                                 ORDINANCE No. 2.
                                     Occupation Tax
                    Section 1. No person, firm or corporation shall
               engage in or manage any business, profession or
               occupation mentioned in this ordinance within the
               corporate limits of the City of Lake City, Florida,
               unless a city license shall have been procured from
               the Tax Collector of said city and attested in the
               name of the City Clerk and the corporation seal
               of said city impressed thereon by the City Clerk,
               whose fee for attesting and placing the seal thereon
               shall be fifteen cents, paid by the persons taking
               out said license, but no license shall be issued for
               more than one year, and all licenses shall expire
               on the first day of October of each year, but fraction­
               al licenses, except as hereinafter provided, may be
               issued to expire on that day, at the proportion
               rate, estimating from the first day of the month
               in which the license is so issued, and all licenses
               may be transferred with the approval of the City
               Treasurer, with the business for which they were
               taken out,when there is a bona fide sale and trans­
               fer of the property used and employed in the busi­
               ness as stock and trade, but such transfer
               license shall not be good for any longer time or
               for any other place than that for which it was
               originally issued.

                    Sec. 2. Keepers of hotels or boarding houses
               having accommodations for one hundred or more
