city to report to the Mayor all persons, firms or
corporations doing business within said city with 68/257
out first paying a license tax as required by this
ordinance, and it shall be the duty of the Mayor to
have the parties failing or refusing to pay such
license tax to be brought before him to be dealt
with in accordance with this ordinance.
Sec. 61. Every license shall be furnished by
the Clerk of said city to the Tax Collector under the
the seal of the corporation of said city on blanks
furnished by the City Council, after signing the
same and taking receipt therefor, and the Tax
Collector shall fill out and sign each license before
issuing the same to the person or persons paying
him the necessary amount therefor. The Tax
Collector shall make a duplicate of each license
issued in a book furnished by the City Clerk for
that purpose and shall file such duplicate license
with the City Clerk. The person or persons ob
taining such original license shall keep the same
exhibited conspicuously at their place of business,
and upon failure to do so, shall be subject to
another license for engaging in or managing a busi
ness, profession or occupation for which such
license was obtained.
Sec. 62. The d'ax Collector of said city shall,
at the first regular meeting of the City Council in
each month, present to them in open session the
names of all persons that have paid a special
license tax and the amount each paid set opposite
their name, for the month preceding such meeting,
and the date of such payment and the business or
profession for which the same was issued.
Sec. 63. The City Council shall furnish such
blanks as are required in book form to the Clerk
