                                      FUDGE                         DORIS WEAVER

               2 C SUGAR                               2 SQUARES CHOCOLATE
               2/3 C EVAPORATED MILK                    2 T. WHITE KARO SYRUP
               2 T. BUTTER                             DASH SALT
               1 tsp VANILLA                            1 C CHOPPED PECANS

               Cook until it forms soft ball when dropped into cold water.
               Set off stove - let cool, then beat fast & add in the nuts.
               Pour into shallow pan. Cut when completely cool.


                                   CHOCOLATE SAUCE                     JULIE GAFFORD



               2 oz unsweetened chocolate melted over hot water
               Add:        1/4 tsp salt                    1/2 C condensed milk
                                                  * or 1 C light corn syrup

               Stir until thick. Add 1 tsp vanilla
               Add boiling water (1/2 to 1 cup) until as thin as
               you like.


                                SWEET BUTTER. SAUCE                      JULIE GAFFORD


               4 T butter                                 1 C milk
               2 T flour                                  1/2 tsp vanilla
               2 T sugar

               Dissolve milk and sugar over low heat; stir til smooth.
               Make as you would a medium white sauce. Serve over
               pound cake. Grandmother Myrtle Littlefield's recipe.

              1 pkg Orange Slice candy (16 oz)                   1 tsp Orange extract
              2  can sweetened condensed milk                    1 C chopped pecans
              1 4 oz pkg flaked coconut                          2  C 10 XXX sugar

              Set oven at 300 degrees. Combine orange candy, condensed
              milk, pecans, coconut and orange extract in a bowl. Mix
              well. Spoon into a baking dish - bake for 20 minutes or
              until mixture bubbles. Stir in sugar until smooth.
              Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper-lined surface. Let
              stand until firm. Yield - 4 dozen.
