Charter of the City of Lake City
the suspension and removal of city officers. The
City Council may remove or temporarily suspend, 134/257
for a stated period, such suspended officers, as
they, in their judgement, shall see fit.
ORDINANCE NO. 29
Saloons.
Sec. 1. It shall be unlawful to maintain any
enclosure or high plank fences or other kinds ad
jacent to or near any whiskey or beer saloon in the
city for the purpose of being used as a place of
privacy for lewd and lascivious conduct or for the
drinking of whiskey, wine or beer, or for music
and dancing.
Sec. 2. It shall be unlawful for any female
person to enter' into any bar room in said city or
any enclosure connected with any bar room, and
it shall be unlawful for agents, clerks or servants
to permit any female person to enter and remain
in his said bar room or enclosure connected with
said bar room.
Sec. 3. Any person violating any of the pro
visions of this ordinance shall be punished by a
fine not exceeding five hundred dollars or im
prisonment not exceeding sixty days.
ORDINANCE NO. 30
Selling Liquors Without a License.
Sec. 1. It shall be unlawfull for any person,
firm or corporation to sell or cause to be sold any
spirituous, vinous, malt or other intoxicating liq
uors within the corporate limits of the City of
