                             Charter of the City of Lake City
                             ORDINANCE NO. 26.
                                      Curfew Law                                  132/257
                  Sec. 1. It shall be unlawful for any minor
             under the age of sixteen years to be loitering or
             playing on the streets after the hour of nine o’clock
             P. M. and before the hour of five o’clock A. M.,
             unless accompanied by some adult person or with­
             out a written permit of the parent, guardian or em­
             ployer of such minor, of that date.
                 Any violation of this ordinance shall be punish­
             ed by a fine not to exceed twenty-five dollars or by
             imprisonment not to exceed ten days.



                            ORDINANCE NO. 27.
                  Suspension and Removal of City Officers

                 Sec. 1. The Mayor shall have the power to
             suspend any officer of the city, except Councilmen,
             for misconduct in office or neglect of duty, and shall
             report his action in writing, with the reasons there­
             for, to the next regular meeting of the Council, for
             its approval or disapproval.

                 Sec. 2. The officer so suspended shall be fur­
             nished with a copy of the charges against him, and
             notified by the Mayor to appear at the regular
             meeting of the Council next after his suspension.
             If he shall so appear, he shall be given the opportu­
             nity to answer the charges made against him.

                 Sec. 3. The Council shall consider the matter,
             whether the suspended officer is present or not, if it
             appears that he was duly notified; or the Council,
             may, in their discretion, adjourn the matter from
             time to time.
