Charter of the City oj Lake City
ordinance, after affidavit has been made by some
credible person, that they have good reason to 137/257
believe that such liquors are concealed in some
special building, booth, tent or other place, for
sale, or shall refuse or neglect to make arrest when
directed so to do by the City Clerk or Mayor upon
a warrant issued, shall be fined not exceeding fifty
dollars and shall be suspended from office by the
Mayor. Provided, That nothing herein shall be
construed so as to permit any officer to enter the
dwelling house of any person without a warrant.
Sec. 7. Any person having reason to believe
that the provisions of this ordinance are being
violated, may make an affidavit, setting forth the
particulars of such violation, before the City Clerk
or Mayor, who shall, at once, issue a warrant for
the arrest of the person named in such affidavit
and such warrant shall be served by the Marshal
or any police officer, and the defendant named
therein, brought before the Mayor for trial.
Sec. 8. It shall be unlawful for any person,
for himself or as agent of any person or corporation,
to solicit orders for the sale and future delivery of
spirituous, vinous, malt or other intoxicating liq
uors within the corporate limits of the City of
Lake City, Florida, and any person who shall
violate the provisions of this section shall be pun
ished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars
or by imprisonment not exceeding sixty days.
Sec. 9. Whoever gives or by pretended sale
of any other article, furnishes any spirituous, vin
ous, malt or other intoxicating liquors to a customer
or permits the same to be done with a view
