Charter of the City of Lake City
Sec. 6. Any testimony given under this or
dinance by the person taken in charge as provided 140/257
in section 1 shall not be used against him or her on
a charge of drunkenness.
ORDINANCE NO. 32
Vaccination
Sec. 1. All persons within the City of Lake
City, Florida, are hereby required to be vaccinated
whenever required by a health officer, and any per
son refusing to be vaccinated shall, upon convic
tion before the Mayor, be fined not exceeding
$500 or be imprisoned not exceeding sixty days.
Sec. 2. Any parent or guardian who shall
prevent vaccination of any child when required
shall, upon conviction, be punished as prescribed
in Section 1.
ORDINANCE NO. 33
Contagious Diseases
Sec. 1. The Mayor is hereby constituted and
made the health officer.
Sec. 2. The Mayor, with the approval of the
Council, shall be empowered to issue proclamation
establishing quarantine, and to establish such rules
and regulations as the Council shall deem advis
able, to prevent the introduction into or the spread
within the city of any malignant, infectious or
contagious diseases, Provided, That such regula
tions or rules shall not be effective for a longer
period than thirty days without an extension by
the City Council.
Sec. 3. It shall be the duty of all physicians
practicing within the city forthwith to report to
