                                 Charter of the City of City
              specifications for the respective localities, along
              the whole length and depth of said lot, piece or                       172/257
              particle of land as the same fronts or abuts on the
              street. Said sidewalk shall conform to the grade
              as established by the board of public works, who
              shall furnish, stake and mark, free of charge, the
              grade location therefor when requested to do so by
              any person desiring to conform a sidewalk to the
              proper grade and location.

                   Sec. 2. That said sidewalks or foot pavements
               hall be constructed in the manner, to the width
              and of the materials following: On Marion street
              from the Georgia Southern and Florida Railroad to
              an even with the Southern end of lot 324 in the
              Southern division of the City of Lake City, side­
              walk shall be of natural stone, artificial stone,
              cement or vitrified brick laid smooth; and shall
              extend from the line of the street to the curbing as
              established by the board of public works.
                  On Railroad street, from the East end of the
              Atlantic Coast Line Railway depot to Davis street,
              sidewalk shall be of natural stone, artificial stone
              vitrified brick, cement or other hard brick laid
              smooth not less than five feet in width.
                  On all other streets and parts of streets side­
              walks shall be of natural stone, artificial stone,
              vitrified or other hard brick or rock laid smooth
              not less than five feet in width.

                  Sec. 3. The material entering into the con­
              struction of all sidewalks in the City and the man­
              ner of laying the same shall be subject to the ap­
              proval and under the supervision of the board of
              public works. All sidewalks must be laid with a
              fall toward the middle of the street of four inches
              in ten feet.
