                             Charter of the City oj Lake City
              in the street improvement lien book shall be col­
              lected with interest at the rate of eight per cent                     177/257
              per annum from the date of entry in such book.
                  If the owner of any piece of real estate tenders
              one third of any bill within sixty days after entry
              of said bill in said book such owner shall have the
              right to pay the remainder of said bill in two equal
              annual installments with interest at the rate of
              eight per cent per annum on deferred payments,
              but upon failure to pay any installment when due
              the total unpaid amount of said bill with interest
              shall become due.


                               ORDINANCE No. 40

                                         Sewers.

             AN ORDINANCE to provide for the building of
                  lateral sewers from the main sewers that have
                  been or may be hereafter laid by the City of
                  Lake City along the streets of said City to the
                  lots’or pieces of land abutting thereon; to pro­
                  vide for liens in favor of said City against such
                  lots or pieces of land to which same may be built;
                  to provide for the payment thereof and to pro­
                  vide a penalty for default in such payments.

             Be it ordained by the Mayor and City Council of the
                  City of Lake City:

                  Sec. 1. That the City of Lake City, a munici­
              pal corporation under the laws of the State of
              Florida, shall contract for and have built and con­
              structed, through its board of public works, lateral
              sewers from the main sewers that have been or may
              hereafter be laid by said City along the streets of
              said City to the lots or pieces of land abutting
              thereon.
