street between Railroad and Duval streets be re
moved upon the completion of the exchange to be
constructed by the Southern Bell Telephone and 233/257
Telegraph Company and that said Company shall
have new exchange completed and in operation
within twelve months after the adoption of this
ordinance.
Sec. 2. That the work of erecting poles by
virtue of this ordinance shall be done under the
supervision of the street committee and the said
Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company
shall replace and properly relay any sidewalk or
street that may be displaced by reason of the erec
tion of such poles and on failure of the Company
so to do after ten days notice in writing shall have
been given by the Mayor of the City of Lake City,
Florida, to the said Company the said City may
repair such portion of the sidewalks or streets that
may have been disturbed by said Company and
collect the cost so incurred from said Company.
Sec. 3. In consideration of the rights and
privileges herein granted said Company shall upon
demand provide one cross arm on each pole on
which the City of Lake City, Florida, may desire
to attach fire alarm telegraph and police telegraph
wires for the free use of the police and fire alarm
telegraph system of the City of Lake City, Florida.
Sec. 4. Said Company shall at all times be
subject to the City ordinances now in existance or
which may be hereinafter passed relative to the
use of the public streets by telephone and telegraph
companies.
Sec. 5. Said Company shall indemnify the
City of Lake City, Florida, against and assume all
