Charter of the City, of Lake City
before the Mayor, be fined not exceeding five hun
dred dollars or be imprisoned not exceeding sixty 91/257
days.
ORDINANCE No. 5.
General Police
Sec. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or
persons within the city limits,—
To commit an assault upon another person;
To commit an assault and battery;
To fight except in self-defense;
To use abusive or provoking language to
another;
To make any threats of violence to another;
To make any noise or disturbance calculated
to disturb the peace;
To race or otherwise drive or ride in a furious
manner any horse or horses or cattle or to drive any
animal or animals or vehicles any faster than an
ordinary trot through the streets;
To be drunk upon the streets, parks or public
places of the city;
To bathe in any of the lakes during daylight;
To use profane, obscene or indecent language;
To make any indecent exposure of the person
in any public place;
To discharge any gun or pistol or other firearm
within the city limits without first obtaining per
mission from the Marshal;
To hitch any horses, mules or other animals to
any of the shade trees upon the public streets or
parks or on any private property except by per
mission of the owner;
