Tiger Team Friday Heroes
After two weeks of practice the pow-
erful Tigers traveled to Jacksonville
to encounter the Sandalwood
Saints.
The Tiger scoring started off in the
first quarter with a pass to Jay Mil-
ton for the first TO, and a run by
quarterback Kelly Lowery for the
second TO. With extra points no
good, it left the Tigers score 12-0
with 1:14 still left in the first half.
During the first half the Tigers were
set up in good position by a fumble
recovered by Mike Dace, pass com-
pletions to Terry Staten, and runs by
Marshall Wilson.
To start off the second half, Tommy
Young, after several consecutive
runs broke up the middle for the Ti-
gers third TO.
Coming from the half the Tiger of-
fense clawed back in a hurry as
tackle Bruce Parks intercepted a

39. With a nine yard run by Wilson,
Tommy Young took the ball for a 30
yard run through the Saints defen-
sive team for the fourth TO. The try
for the two points was no good,
which left the score at the end of the
third quarter 24-6.
Bobby Duncan the Sophomore
quarterback went on the field to
continue the Tiger attack. Duncan
took to the air with completions to
Staten and then to Jeff Cruce for the
fifth TO. The extra point was good
leaving the Tigers in command 31-6
in the third quarter.
For all the players to get a taste of
the action, Coach Simmons cleared
the bench. The final action started
as Guerry Espenship intercepted a
Saint's pass, which gave the of-
fense another chance at the ball.
When offense hit the field Duncan
threw a pass to Melvin Wintons and
tossed the ball to Aaron Johnson.
The last TD was made by Wintons
which made the final score 38-6.
Tommy Young seems to be missing his head and legs.
